Cut to Length - The process of taking flat rolled steel or coiled steel, unrolling it and cutting it to the desired length sheet. The basic parameters of a cut to length line are master coil width, coil weight, material type, minimum and maximum thickness, length tolerance, finished sheet length range, and desired flatness. An efficient Cut-To-Length system is required to automatically measure, position, cut, count and advance processed material along the manufacturing line.
