
Diesel Prices Fall 4.6 Cents, Dip Below $4 Mark

Diesel prices across the United States dropped 4.6 cents in the week ending Nov. 28, dipping below the $4 a gallon mark and falling for the first time in four weeks. The average U.S. diesel price moved to $3.964 a gallon, up 80.2 cents from a year ago but down 15 cents from the 2011 high, the U.S. Energy Information Administration said. The average diesel price was up 9.6 cents from 12 weeks ago, when gas was $3.868 a gallon. Prices fell across the country, with the Midwest seeing the largest decrease, down 6.1 cents to $3.949 a gallon.
